Lymphatic Drainage (LD) is a highly specific technique that reduces swelling. It moves fluid from areas of congestion, whether that is caused by surgery, injury or chronic conditions. It helps the lymphatic system function optimally. The lymphatic system is responsible for immune response and waste disposal. Some lymph-related conditions that can be helped with LD are: sinusitis, post-injury swelling, heaviness in the legs or swelling in the fingers, and so much more!
After 30 + years as a school teacher, Denise chose to begin a different career path, and to follow her lifelong interest in helping people feel better physically. She became certified in Craniosacral therapy in 2018, and now, in 2020, has completed her training from Mount Royal University as a Registered Massage Therapist. She has combined her experience in teaching with her training in pediatric Craniosacral therapy in working with children for learning, behavior and health issues. She also has a special interest in working with Seniors.
Denise has studied Lymphatic drainage both with the Vodder School and the Chikly Institute and is excited to offer treatments to anyone dealing with chronic or acute swelling; or anyone who just wants to boost their immune system. She is honoured to be a part of your healing journey!
